University of Waikato offers the International Progression Bursary for students who want to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies. Each winner will get a $10,000 New Zealand dollar award. The institution gives out scholarships in a competitive manner. The scholarship is available online and is open to all international students.
All of the subjects that are offered by the University of Waikato are eligible programs of study. Students must fulfil the university’s standard requirements for admission to their chosen course of study in order to be eligible.
The University of Waikato International Progression Bursary (hereinafter Award) was established in 2022 in order to promote educational opportunities, encourage internationalization, and assist talented international students to promote from undergraduate to postgraduate level for the first time at the University of Waikato.

We are looking for students with aspirations as well as intellectual aptitude. You should be able to solve problems creatively, have excellent technical abilities, and be open to working in cross-disciplinary training and research environments.
You need to be willing to expand your skill set beyond what you studied for your undergraduate and graduate degrees. You must already have a first-class BSc Honors degree or the international equivalent, or be about to graduate with one. Ideally, you will also possess, or be about to be awarded, a Masters’ level degree with distinction.
