Scholarship Description:

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University is offering Computer Science Tuition Fee Scholarship (CSTFS). The scholarship is open to candidates applying for the Bachelor’s or Master’s Programme in Computer Science, for the academic years beginning 2018/2019.

Host College/University:

Charles University, known also as Charles University in Prague or historically as the University of Prague, is the oldest and largest university in Czechia. Founded in 1348, it was the first university in Central Europe.

All applicants must have an adequate command of English in order to enrol on an English-taught programme at Charles University.

Degree level:

Scholarship is available for pursuing bachelor’s or master’s programme.

Field of Study:

Scholarship is awarded in the field of Computer Science.

Scholarship Award:

The scholarship includes direct coverage of tuition fees for academic years 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 in the case of Bachelor’s students, and 2019/20 and 2020/21 in the case of Master’s students, which amounts to 84 000 CZK (around 3 240 EUR) per academic year for students from the EU, and 140 000 CZK (around 5 400 EUR) per academic year for students outside the EU.

Nationalities:

Citizens of Czech Republic are eligible to apply.

  •  Up to two Scholarships will be awarded for students in the Bachelor’s Programme in Computer Science and up to one Scholarship will be awarded for students in the Master’s Programme in Computer Science.
  • Scholarship can be taken in the Czech Republic

Eligibility Criteria:

The Scholarship is open to candidates applying for the Bachelor’s or Master’s Programme in Computer Science, any study branch, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, the language of instruction English, for the academic years beginning 2018/2019, and who have not studied in the programme earlier. Candidates must meet the Entry Requirements for the corresponding programme.

English Language Requirements:

All applicants must have an adequate command of English in order to enrol in an English-taught programme at Charles University.

Students must accompany their application with the following documents:

  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Motivation letter;
  • List of publications (if applicable);
  • Transcript(s) of records;
  • Application for the CSTFS (no prescribed form);
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic supervisors or employer.

How to Apply:

To apply for the CSTFS, students must apply for the Bachelor’s or Master’s Programme in Computer Science, using the Student Information System of Charles University.
